I have specified, tendered and supervised the electrical installation on many large jobs.

This work has included the preparation of the contract’s scope of work, special conditions, terms of payment, establishment and tracking of time frame, invoicing, as well a checking the statutory electrical and OSH requirements are met.

An electrical installation project typically follows these stages:-

Evaluation - determining what is wanted functionally.

Design - selecting appropriate type of equipment bearing in mind site standards and environment.

Establishing a Time Frame - production of Gannt Chart fitting in with mechanical installation and production plans.

Detailed Functional Specification - approved by the ‘customer’.

Tender Let - based not purely on price.

Project Management, Cost Tracking, Supervision. - frequent site visits and meetings with the contractors to keep the project squarely on the rails.

Punch List - towards project completion.
